Khabib actually leaves you with you physical damage which is far more lasting than some mild facial abrasions...

All the fancy footwork, distance, angles, slips and feints don't work if they other guy takes you down as soon as you let your guard down. And so Colby leaves with the choice of defending the takedown or striking, you can't do both.

As much as I hate his act, I have to respect the guy as a fighter. It takes balls to use that style against the monsters he's faced.

People shit on grapplers striking all the time samething happens with khabib, people say they only land because of the takedown thread but if that's true why guys like kevin lee dont outstruck everyone? The possibility of a takedown helps but its not everything you need to have the right timing

Who? Barboza had like 160 strikes landed on him and looked perfectly fine. People point to the Lawler fight as proof of the lack of damage in Colby's striking but there are at least marks on Lawler. Barboza has no marks at all.

He fought 4 months after losing to khabib so the damage couldn't have been that bad.

If he hits so hard why does he have 0 KOs in his career. Because he doesn't hit hard at all. Like Masvidal said, he's a crotch sniffer and his fights are boring.

It's true. Not everyone can put it together and it requires incredible stamina to fight like that.

KO's aren't just about power, idiot. You can land hard punches that don't knock people out.
 
His output and range management is very good. But he posses no accurary or power to really make an impact with his striking other than distraction and wearing people down slowly. So far it has worked but its pretty clear that a half decent striker would easily beat him if it wasnt for the TD threat
 
What a petty argument with endlessly shifting goalposts. Covington wins his fights. And by and large he isn’t doing it by laying on guys. If all you had to do to win fights was throw lots of weak punches, everyone would do it.

If he had "power" then he'd be knocking people out. I think you're getting your words mixed up. He hits "a lot" not hard. The fact that he hit Lawlor as much as he did and there were no cuts and just facial abrasions proves he doesn't have power in his hands.
