Colby Covington roasts Conor hard, speaks truth

Conor was once an exciting up and comer who won two belts but now he is for the most part a talker. Don't get me wrong Conor can still scrap but that burning desire to prove his worth is long gone. He gets trampled at 170 by any of the top guys, just trampled. I would love to see Conor fight Colby because either way it ends fantastically. If Conor actually won could you imagine the hysterics? The other outcome is Colby just brutalizes him with big boy wrestling for a couple of rounds and Conor retires and that would be a fun watch as well.

Gatekeeper lightweights? Isn't Poitier arguably the best guy at 155 rn besides Khabib? Then his other loss at Lightweight is Khabib..

correct, journeymen beating nate diaz at 170 does.
It was simply a rational business decision. Dude puts butts in seats. Something Covington can't do.
You see, when you clear out your division, you can make those type of decisions.

Colby's just mad his maga antics and persona have only served to alienate and isolate him socially with no big monetary payday.

So he's taking out his frustrations on the multi millionaire. Is normal.

he was banking on a Trump presidency lol

Although I agree with him on some of the stuff, I don't with others.

And even if Conor's career has become a "joke" all of a sudden, he's still achieved heights Colby will never reach in his career. So he can pipe down.

What's funny is if Covington loses to Usman again he likely slips into the gatekeeper category himself

Are you a bot? "Alienate and isolate" one of these gets the message across. "Monetary payday", wtf else would it be?

Both have slightly different connotations. He is not only alienated socially but physically isolated after being kicked out of his gym. And there are many kinds of paydays - that's like saying 'monetary compensation' is redundant, as if there's only one type of compensation. And that applies doubly if payday is used loosely.

Any other questions or are you done trying to impose your own grammatical sensibilities on us?

{<huh}

...so usman cleared out the division? or jorge did? either way, WAT

regardless, conor beat nate at 170, so he clearly meets the pre-req for a title shot.

And good day to you sir.

Colby vs Conor is actually a dream fight ,
would enjoy every punch landed on each of them for 5 rounds

Ironically, if you replace Conor's name with Colby's (and one or two other minor changes), it also reads true.

"Colby is trying to get some hype, some headlines. Come on dude, you jsut got your jaw broke. Are you serious? You want a title shot? You're the laughingstock in the MMA community."

Usman did.
Sure, why not. As long as Usman fulfils his mandatory obligations, he can take a money fight.

Gatekeeper does not = best fighter in the division besides the champ. Unless you are referring to Colby's own definiton of gatekeeper.

Yeah Colby has no room to talk when it comes to saying dumb shit to generate hype

Conor at WW fighting actual WW has always been a joke. Anybody trying to acclaim his accomplishments at “WW” is a total joke as well. He’s never fought a natural 170 pounder yet.

"a joke" is a bit too far, but yeah Colby is right. conor is very good at playing the media game and keeping his name relevant to the casuals.

How do we know Colby is the best fighter in the division besides Usman? He's ducked literally every other contender
