Media Colby breaks the record for most strike attempts in a single fight.

yeah he attempted to strike a lot but it looked pathetic 90% of the time

Over 500 strikes and almost no damage. Still, that IS a very high volume output.

More a reflection on his incredible cardio. 500 strikes and 20 TD attempts without gassing is fucking insane..

What was the prior record - Sonnen v Silva 1?

At least you can say that Colby hurt Robbie at least a tad bit more than Chael hurt Anderson....

Dude has an insane gas tank all weak ass punches but throwing that many and still being able to go for takedowns is insane.
Colby probably has the best conditioning, he credits his condition for only weighing like 179 to 183 pounds walking around weight.

looked good enough to make the judges give t him lets not pretend robbie only lost due t takedowns colbys uppercuts hooks n kicks r what won him that fight

He cut up lawler and had lawler bobbing and weaving all night
"Had him bobbing and weaving all night" has to be one of the dumbest fucking things I've seen in 13 years on this site.

What else would a professional fighter do when someone is punching them?

it isnt just that guys in the gym he rag dolls around arnt cutting either outside of camp and he still dominates them the dude has a gift and is a legit alpha male its that simple u can love /hate him all you want but nobody can take away this mans talent

Almost sounds bad tbh. It's like most swings without a homerun. Idk not going to hate on the cardio just sounds bad.

When you throw 500 strikes none of them are full power

Would be impossible to throw them full power

Most fighters don't throw full power all the time. The point is that Colby kept such a high pace that he completely shut Lawler down. Exactly not what I wanted but exactly what I was afraid would happen.

Meh... Colby's elbows were good (and that was probably what cut Lawler), but everything else he threw had very little power behind them.

And of course he was bobbing and weaving... That's what fighters do. They try to avoid getting hit, lol??? <36>

Really impressive from a welterweight, but even more impressive is the ability to throw all those strikes and inflict hardly any damage at all.

He definitely did not

He did actually win though which is nice for him
