The Apocalypse Is Here: There’s About To Be A Global Coffee Shortage
http://omgfacts.com/the-apocalypse-is-here-theres-about-to-be-a-global-coffee-shortage/
There was a warning several years ago that, due to global warming, the amount of land able to produce coffee beans would be shrinking leading to a short supply. Now it appears that there is another reason that might cause a shortage even sooner. It seems there is a shortage of shipping containers to transport the beans from their countries of origin.
U.S. Coffee Bean Supplies Are at a 6-Year Low, and More Problems Lie Ahead.

Even worse than the toilet paper shortage of last year, the US is facing a possible shortage of coffee beans. This could cause a huge problem in a country where at least half of the population is addicted to coffee and would probably be willing to kill somebody to get their fix. Will coffee shops require armed guards? Will people be killed in store aisles fighting over coffee?

A massive shipping container shortage has made moving anything around the globe more difficult—just look at Costco's cheese supply—and coffee, which is consumed around the world but grown in specific regions, is no exception. Bloomberg reports that U.S. stockpiles are at a six-year low—and that's coming off a record 2020 crop in Brazil, the top-producing country. Conversely, Brazil's 2021 season is shaping up to be a disaster due to poor weather, leaving the whole industry in flux: Future supplies are up in the air at the same time that the pandemic has created uncertainty in consumer behavior. Add in "nightmare"-like shipping costs, and businesses could be faced to make tough choices about pricing.
