Cocaine Abuse (personal)

Some serious delusion and denial ITT. Addiction is a messy and very complex affair that touches almost every aspect of one's life including friends, family, behavior, day to day patterns etc. No one that I know who is a recovering addict or works in the recovery system denies that many people use but are not addicts and many people can get clean on their own. There is no conspiracy within the recovery system to label people as addicts.

It also seems lost on people that an addict can be very high functioning. I work with addicts on the day to day and many are very successful and while their low points may have pushed them into rehab their high points almost always occur during their most successful points in life.

For the people claiming that he is in rehab because of pressure and image, you need to think it through to the end of the logic. If that is the case (which is entirely possible) it means three things: drugs are STILL the reason Jones is in rehab, he will be using as soon as he gets out and it is an extremely manipulating thing to do at the expense of actual addicts. People who manipulate on that level usually have addictive personalities.
