My expierence with Cocaine, is there is not alot of recreational users that don't graduate to addictive behaviours very fast. I do alot of service work for addicts, and the stories are all the same.
I'm sure all the people you named didn't go in just for cocaine alone, most likely a combination of drugs.
Which is weird because I know a lot of people that do and did coke and they never went to a rehab. Now the dope heads I know all went to rehab, that's why it's weird to me.
I would think one would go to rehab for alcohol before cocaine.
HGH doesn't get you high!! But I do take alot of HGH, never felt better.
I won't say you're wrong in what you're saying but there is also a large majority who are extremely addicted, refuse help or I should say refuse the understanding that they need help of any kind and just die.....Denial is a huge part of an addictive personality.that is unfortunately grossly inaccurate.
the treatment population is NOT reflective of the overall population of drug users, and the research literature is quite clear on this point.
treatment populations are but a subset of overall users, i.e. those who have sought or been compelled to enter treatment for whatever reason (overdose, the court system, personal or family choice, etc.) and it fails to consider the MAJORITY of users who never end up in treatment, assuming that they are similar when they are not.
Most drug and alcohol users (yes, cocaine and even heroin) do NOT become 'addicted', and many who do become addicted stop without formal treatment. Many alcoholics een return to non-problematic social drinking. This is not something the treatment establishment likes to acknowledge, even when aware of it (often for self-serving reasons).
This is not at all intended to diminish your experiences with addicts. In fact, we learn a great deal about addiction from treatment populations...but we learn FAR from the 'whole story' by only looking at that subset.

All the people I named went to rehab for coke...it's been well documented...Most have been open and talked about it.....Sheen talks about it all the time....Downey has been open about it....Same with Billy Joel......Lohan is another....I mean the list goes on and on....This is not uncommon knowledge...
I think he's only going to rehab because he is famous. There was a time where I used to consume at least 4-6 grams a week for a month but I stopped. I craved it but didn't fall back to it, but that's my experience I know a lot of people are different. I just think he doesn't have an addiction problem and I'm sure he's only doing it for his public image.
With Sheen I'm not surprised, anyway I thought it would be for liquor instead.
Going to say it again, from people I know personally, I never heard of any of them going to rehab for coke alone.

I'm telling you from personal experience. Can you please provide a source.
Keep that in mind "What you know".....Lots of us have a totally different view based on what we've experienced ourselves and have seen close friends go through.....Believe me dude I'm not trying to sound off like a know it all, really I'm not....But I've seen first hand how many different drugs have wrecked people in many different ways and the lengths they and myself went through to get clean......
Some were easier than others but for some it was pure hell. And I mean that in every sense of the word.
That porn stick figure Kacey Jordan was quoted saying that Sheen was smoking a golfball size rock every hour in his height of addiction.
I start shaking just thinking about a golfcall sized rock of freebase.
Have you been in a rehab? Before meth it was all coke and crack users. Also don 't forget there are a number of ways to do coke.

Congrats dude...If you can do it without Treatment more power to you, it's not for everyone but it does help for some......I just Celebrated 18 months myself....Hasn't been easy but I know full well where I don't want to be anymore....I hear ya.
Nope, I haven't. Been getting clean without that BS.
I know a lot of people that do hard drugs and honestly this is the first time I hear someone going to rehab for coke.
Stupidest thing I have ever read. Rehabs came along because of coke
