“He asked to fight boxing, Dana denied and, later, Conor was fighting boxing," Pederneiras said (via MMANYTT). "He did not have the thought he thought he might have. Months before he asked, the answer was no. Months later Conor manages to fight in boxing without problem and the UFC allowed it. Of course he has a lot of money involved and in his [Aldo’s] fight he would not, but not everything in life is money. He became quite unmotivated.”

Feed him to Zabit.

Realistically though he'll probably get Josh Emmet, or they could just make the Lamas fight again. It would be a fun rematch vs Korean zombie as well

Does he not understand how boxing works? He will make a lot less there. He doesn't have the drawing power of Conor

Gets KOed by punches by Conor, and Max X2 and wants to box? What is this a joke?

Aldo has been outboxed back to back times by Max

Why does he wanna get embarrassed by professionals

No 13 seconds yet? I'm sure half the thread will be Aldo hate, lol.

And Conor got slapped silly by nate. He still made it into the top level of boxing l.

If Aldo can draw a fight against Mayweather or some other top level boxer for a huge payday, UFC would probably let him out since they'd profit, too. However, he'll probably be fighting scrubs which means very little money. No incentive for the UFC to release him. It's a double standard, but that's how it is.

Man I feel sorry for Aldo.

He basically fell off Mt. Kilimanjaro career wise.

The UFC double standard.

Lets not forget that Aldo could have become a 2-weight champ at the end of 2015/beginning of 2016, but the UFC disallowed him to move up and challenge Anthony Pettis for the 155 strap - the only way he could have done so is if he vacated the featherweight title.

Aldo receives a lot of unnecessary hate. Who cares if he got knocked out 3 times - if the man feels he has more potential in boxing than so be it. There are other reasons as to why he may want to box other than just money..

It's easy to kick a man once he's down, huh?

Aldo is one of the GOATs.

Yeah because it would be a real boxing match and not a freakshow fight.

Dana gave him his wish
He's boxed Holloway twice this year and lost both
Moar leg kicks imo

He's right about the boxing bit. Bullshit for the UFC to tell him no on boxing yet let Conor do it.

Aldo is the GOAT with 9 title defenses and 10 years undefeated.

Fuck all of you haters. He has earned the right to do whatever the fuck he wants now.

Not debating that it wasn't a freakshow fight, but does the UFC give a shit? They just knew it would be a huge draw. Aldo vs. a legit guy with no name recognition doesn't make $.
