CNN POLL: 53% of Democrat voters want someone other than Hilary

it doesn't matter. If you are not going to vote for a guy because all of his policies will be "gridlocked by Congress" then you might as well be a Trump supporter because you probably don't care much either way. He didn't even bother saying if he supported anyone at all.

I do believe that is a valid point but uhh, you're right, I don't give a shit about anything but myself.

Bernie Sanders would crash and burn which is why he certainly won't be in the general election. The overwhelming majority of Americans are pro establishment and aren't going to elect a loony, socialist dip shit.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. the majority of Americans are tired of the American establishment and that loony dip shit you're talking about is drawing huge crowds in typically red states. And if you're one of the fools who gets all scared and pisses their pants over the word socialist, then you probably have 3 teeth and want to bang your cousin.

then maybe your Republican? you should really dig down deep and start being honest with yourself. Because after all, fuck those liberal pussies am I right? :icon_chee

I know more than you apparently. No need to throw a temper tantrum because reality is different than you want it to be.

I could see him mobilizing people for midterms. His entire campaign is so grassroots that I think if he made the call for a Dem victory, people would respond. It would be an initial gridlock, but congress' approval ratings are shit already. Bernie getting elected is the dam breaking and all the water rushing right at you.
Its crazy isnt it? 3 months ago I thought he was a hopeless novel candidate; the male Liz Warren, or the liberal Ron Paul. Someone who would galvanize internet nerds to make support seem bigger than the reality. But week after week, his numbers swell and the winds of change are sweeping us all into the Bernmentum.

No longer do we have to resign ourselves to a Hillarian America, devoid of all vivacity and optimism. We are within spitting distance of a true revolution for the first time in our lives and I can barely contain the excitement! I'm a bit embarassed at my enthusiasm to tell you the truth, because I was immune to the BS Obama was peddling in 08 [voted for Nader], and refrained from voting at all in '12.

man, this fires me up.

at least I made a point! You were all like SOCIALISTS BLAA HERPDERP!!!!!!!:icon_evil:icon_evil:icon_evil

he will be gridlocked by congress, but thats why he requires all of us to apply pressure at the local level to help institute the changes we require. Way to jump the gun and get overly defensive. This is why Sanders supporters are getting a bad reputation as the next PaulTards.

cause she's too anti-establishment for them, lol

Anytime voters are (essentially) presented just one option and told "this is what you're getting", of course they will respond, "I want something else".

If the Dem primaries had had a dozen candidates without her, then she suddenly jumped in at the last minute, lots of people would be excited to have her as an option.

your original statement made it sound as if you were saying why bother voting for the guy if you won't be able to get anything that he is saying done. If I miss read you then I apologize. I just get SUPER annoyed when people write him off like there is no way he could win and we MUST settle for the bought and paid for candidates.

I've been saying for a while now that getting Bernie elected president is only the first step and that support for him must continue to build well into his presidency if he is to ever get anything done.

Yes, I am. I mean if I don't share your point lf view, clearly I am a Republican. Never insulted liberals, never insulted Bernie, never expressed support for the Republicans, but yes, I am one.

his meteoric rise made me proud to be American for the first time in a long while. Gives me real hope that we arent the shitlords that spewed bile across the world post 9-11. Plz dont let me down, America.

That 53% will be split among the other Democratic candidates leaving her with 47% of the votes and an easy road to the general election.

This and the fact its too early and that all the Obama lovers would prefer Biden mostly because his closer affiliation with the administration and or Biden's better track record as a Senator. Once other Obama lovers realize that Hillary is their best choice they will abandon the failed campaigns and embrace Hillary.

Bernie Sanders will be the Democratic nominee mark my words! He is the voice of millions of Americans who are tired of politics as usual. I think he beats Hillary and beats Donald Trump then becomes the next president!

If Bernie is the Democratic nominee because of voters LIKE YOURSELF then say hello to the new president because it WONT be Bernie it will be one of the following.

yeah you're right better go with somebody who can get their policies passed Congress like Donald Trump? maybe the bought and paid for Hillary Clinton or do you fancy yourself a Chris Christie or Scott Walker kind of guy?

But what is a bought and paid for candidate?

Also what are you most passionate about that Bernie is speaking about?

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. the majority of Americans are tired of the American establishment and that loony dip shit you're talking about is drawing huge crowds in typically red states. But Bernie Sanders is pro establishment in many ways and in many other ways he is not. For example Bernie Sanders supports some form/way shape or form of free college education and a raise in the minimum wage.

Well those are things that the Obama administration, many economists, some democrats, Hillary Clinton and many others support. So yeah is Bernie a 'bought' candidate? The difference between Obama and Hillary when they support raises in minimum wage and making college education free/affordable is that they have a more sensible approach to getting it done and they have other more practical economic views.

Lol this is the kind of ignorance that will make the middle class keep disappearing.

That depends though. What is the biggest things in your opinion that we need to address in order to uplift people and save the middle class?

Universal healthcare, free 4 year college, higher taxes for the rich, and repeal citizen's united so the middle class people can be heard again.

Well those are all things Obama, Biden, O'Malley, Clinton and many others support along with many others. The question though is who has the best chance at getting elected and getting through some of these things?

Also, id like to add that a raise in minimum wage, better tax structure, and pro economic growth policies coupled with easier access to education are more important than anything.

4 years free college for public universities is something that sounds good on paper but (imo) needs to be thought out more or examined more deeply. It might also be hard to get that through congress, on the other hand 2 years free college/for technical schools or something would be much easier. Especially if you made it being free conditional on grades , e.g. if you fail 2 semesters you are on probation and have to pay to take classes again until you can make grades again. Or something like that.
