It's been 4 years and America is still here.

The thing tearing the country apart is bias news reporting with an agenda to create a false narrative. It's not Trump. And it won't go away when Trump's gone. The motivation in creating false narrative news stories based on creating outrage is monetary. That doesn't go away regardless of who's in power.

Yea I think historically if you draw the line where Liberalism lays, which can be differentiated from socialism (feel like they casually get thrown together as "Left" a lot), it was Liberalism that would fight against government regimes with logic and science. Depending on the time and location, the results of that varies though. But the history is there. To me it's a much needed point of balance. I don't see that changing any time soon, but I think the interference from both conservatives and hardline progressives will always be there as well.
