Maybe I missed it in the article, but I don't see any mention of the rates at which the different races commit violent crimes or resist arrest.

Considering that blacks commit violent crime at higher rate than whites I would expect them to be killed by police at a higher rate. If the authors of the study controlled for violent crime rates, it seems like an important detail to mention in the the article.

Not a surprise when roughly 6.25% of the population is responsible for roughly 38% of all violent crime.

In other words, it's worthless.

It's not 50% (although it is a majority if you're just looking at murder/non-negligent manslaughter and robbery). Still WAY out of proportion though. The other 2 acts classified as violent crime by the FBI are aggravated assault and rape.

obviously the statistics are even worse if you look at the 6% black males only.
