Is the UFC done with this sideshow crap? I mean it's obvious CM punk isn't a fighter. He's not athletic, he has no offense, and he doesn't belong in any professional organization. I guess i'm just frustrated because the whole thing is a joke to me and really makes the ufc look amateur.

There's a difference in bringing a guy like lesnar in vs cm punk. Lesnar is a freak athlete and had a good base style given that he was a collegiate wrestling stud.

Yeah this kind of shit needs to stop, he can't fight and shouldn't be fighting. Btw any news on him? Someone said he was sent to the hospital after the fight. Not a good sign.

That shitshow was worse than most WMMA fights, and that's SAYING something.

I think it's obvious this was the end of the road for him as an mma fighter. I do feel that he could and should be used by the UFC in some sort of promotional capacity. He's a good personality with fans, a good talker so it wouldn't be egregious to see him at the table with Florini and co. every now and then or doing some other interview segments or promotional appearances.

In a lot of ways this fight was more dispiriting than the Gall one. In that fight, you saw a guy quickly get taken down, ground and pounded and subbed. The fight looked more like a testament to Gall's abilities than it did an indictment of CM Punk's abilities. There was still an air of mystery as to what he might be able to do if he were able to last longer into the fight.

But in this bout, MJ basically taunted him, beat him in the clinch, definitively outgrappled him, beat him up in the guard and generally just joked around.

You could see the problems- the plodding movement, lack of dynamism in the takedowns, lack of technique in the standup. It looked more like a scrappy effort to hang in there than anything else.

I did think he edged the first round though, for what it's worth.

Look, I like the guy and want him to succeed in his endeavors. But he tried this and it didn't work out. No shame. As I said, I hope he continues on with UFC in another aspect.

It was waaaay worse than Gadelha/Esparza, that's for sure. In my opinion that was quite entertaining.

Poor Punk looked out of his element and MJ was out to embarrass and taunt him but in so doing also did not deliver a performance that noteworthy in any way, shape or form. I mean, dude, you are clearly better- don't worry about doing wax on, wax off hand gestures before delivering single punches in the guard- throw those hands and finish the fight.

Ass odd as it was i found it more entertaining than some of the other fights.

Well yea we can all agree for CM punk being done as a fighter. But my intention was to mean CM Punk + any others who have no business in the octagon. As far as using him for promotional purposes, I don't really get what value he would bring to the table. But I don't watch WWE and so I don't know much about him.

You know what makes people forget about, and be "done" with someone? When morons like you stop posting threads and generating hype. Stop clicking articles, and stop posting threads. The end.

CM Punk to Bellator looms.

I think the next move is let him fight a 115lbs WMMA fighter

Well according to Dana it "should" be his last fight.

So there you have it. Punk will return.

The sideshow act should have been done after this crap.
