K-1 Punk gonna dominate!
That bastard cheap shotted the King?!
Edit: Cerrone like torque in those kicks.
Cm Punk got that Cro-Cop strenght in his kicks, left kick hospital right kick cemetary
Progress? Didnt he just start a week ago?
Meh... While obviously I understand the money grab side of this, it's disappointing the UFC and Dana are going this route. It contradicts so many previous positions Dana has publicly expressed. Dana obviously has no problem proving himself to be a hypocrite these days, but this affects more than just his perception, it looks bad on the UFC and the sport. It's one thing to bring in Lesnar. He had a legitimate competitive fighting background. CM Punk, as far as I know, is just an actor. He has no business in the UFC even if he's competing against someone equally inexperienced.
There are bigger problems out there of course, just sad to see Dana continue to speak out of both sides of his mouth.
Any cliffs of what they said? I'm watching the playoff game and can't really listen to it right now.
I think they're talking just where his basics are so far.
-Duke is impressed with Punks hunger and desire to learn
-No opponent has been talked about yet
-No decision on weight class
-Duke likes that he's getting Punk from scratch and can mold him his way right away
-The guys at Dukes have welcomed Punk with open arms
First week he is working with Duke & the BJJ guy
No bad habits & he is a sponge for learning
Stays late & watches the more seasoned guys
Bas thinks his signing to fight is a great thing
Good post. I feel the same way.
Thanks. Sounds like the same kind of stuff Punk has been saying for a while about his opponent and the weight class.
Interesting take though of molding punk from scratch. Didn't know he has never done any striking training I remember he did a little BJJ with the Gracie family.
IM hoping he keeps doing that thigh slap in the UFC also
you know, for sound effect and all.
That was fn funny
I am sure he has progressed amazingly in the 2-3 weeks he's trained *roll eyes*
Ugh. Just sign a fight already. Sick of seeing this shit. I can finish every sentence anyone starts when talking about this guy training. Just sign a fight to train for. Thats all im interested in cuz ive not heard anything new in some time.
They talked about him going for the belt in two different weight classes
of course they didn't you dolt. They are discussing how he did in his first taste of camp. You know why? Because media is interested in the journey.
It is the first time we can experience something like this & it is interesting
Enters thread about Punk's progress to say he doesn't care about his progress
You know you can wait until you see a "UFC announces Punk's opponent" thread?
Nice torque on that last kick on the King lol
I still think he ends up fighting at 170er.
