Let's share stories of seeing odd things in the night sky.
I don't have a great story, but I always thought this was strange.
When I was 9 or so, I was at a Cub Scout event. I couldn't tell you what we were thinking, but we are standing in front of the school and I look at my buddy and say, "I bet that star is a ship so I'm going to signal it."
I just thought this one star stuck out because it was bright.
So I point my flash light at it and turn it on. Soon as I click the button, the star jumps to the side a noticeable amount suddenly.
I look at the other kid and he is already jaw dropping and yelling "whoa" because near as we can tell, the click moved the star.
In my old age, I had decided that there must have been a sudden change in the temperature of an air current that blew over, distorting the light. That was my best guess.
Your stories? Ever see anything odd?
