So clinton made a deal with North korea, and he is blamed for North Korea having nukes.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wa...-why-did-bill-clintons-north-korea-deal-fail/

So now trump has allowed South Korea to directly negotiate with North Korea. As a non-interventionist, I can applaud this. I don't give a shit if North Korea has nukes. They already have them, short of invasion there is nothing that can be done about it.

I will take a avatar or Sig bet with anyone who thinks, that if a deal is signed, it won't allow North Korea to keeps their nukes for at least a decade.

All trump has done is given up our demand that North Korea gives up its nukes. So if people want to call him a brilliant negotiator for giving North Korea everything they ever wanted, that is fine, but I think it is kind of stupid. Anyone could have made this deal. They just didn't want to look weak.

Funny enough, while the media loves to attack Trump on Russia, I have yet to hear a word uttered about how weak giving these concessions to North Korea makes Trump look.

Obama is limp wristed? Well at least he didn't give the house away for nothing.

Well, it probably won't happen overnight, no.

Obama had every opportunity to make this deal and failed. Good for Trump on this one.

It's always been about delaying the inevitable. North Koreans are smart people and they're bordered by two nuclear allies(China and Russia) so it's silly to have thought they wouldn't reach the point of having nukes.

More than anything Trump's presidency was the right timing. He shouldn't get credit for the deal but he also shouldn't be criticized for taking it. NK is one of those cases where nobody wins but nobody loses either(except for the NK people of course).

Inb4 Trump dick slobberers

So what did Trump give them? They haven't even met yet.

He gave them direct negotiations with South Korea.

South Korea doesn't give a shit that North Korea has nukes. The million pieces of North Korean artillery has always been the more immediate threat.

Trump has ended the strategy of containment, just as Obama did with Iran.

Funny enough, Iran shows the hypocrisy of applauding this by many on the right.

I would love to hear the case made that North Korea is more trustworthy then Iran.

Trump gets credit for this the same as Obama got it for killing Osama.

We will see what kind of deal is worked out.

Well I think he should get credit for it like Obama did with Iran. In other words, partisan credit, and partisan attacks. I've always been a, what is good for the goose is good for the gander, kind of guy.

There are a handful of countries in this world that regularly invade, occupy, intimidate, control, and economically rape other sovereign nations, and North Korea is not one of them.

They have nukes to protect themselves from invasion.

And besides, I thought you told me that more arms means we are all safer.

Nukes don't kill people, people kill people, right?

Lol, Un is a threat, by virtue of being insane.

Way more of a threat then anyone in Russia, or Iran.

Iran and Russia, are crazy like a fox. Un is just crazy.

I'd rather give in and stop a stupid useless war and move forward, rather than continue on playing a stupid game that ends in more war.

What has this war been lately, though?

I'm sure I would, but I know fuckall about it. I'd need to do some reading

I'll save you the research. It says Iran can't enrich uranium at a level that would allow a nuke to be created for 10 years. It has mechanisms in place to verify this. Iran made this deal for a end to economic sanctions.

The main criticism of this deal has been that it only lasts 10 years, and that we have to give them 24 hours notice before inspecting military sites. As if Iran would ever let us ransack through any military site without notice.

So, Iran deal, no nukes, and verification.

NK deal, if one is reached, I guarantee allows NK to keep their nukes for the short term.

Assuming I am right, which deal do you think is better?

What has this war been lately, though?

It's not a war. It's lines that have been drawn in the sand since a war.

Is it good for everyone that these guys get along? Time will tell, I guess. That's really my only hesitation upon thinking that this is good news. That a unified Korea could actually fuck some shit up. Now you got got another major player, who potentially has nuclear arms. It's a little worrying that the other side of that nation has found common ground with a guy like Kim Jung Un.

Everyone thinks it's Kim who has bowed down. What if it's the other way around?
