    Scalps Guida has collected

    BJ Penn
    Nate Diaz
    Josh Thomson
    Dos Anjos
    Anthony Pettis
    Michael Johnson
    Joe Lauzon
    Takanori Gomi
    Bart Palaszewski
    Hatsu Hioki
    Tatsuya Kawajiri

Win loss ratio be damned. Guida's win list is better than the entire UFC LW division.

Looks great on paper, but context matters.

interesting post but nah its not only who you beat its also how you beat them . The BJ Penn win basically means nothing and the Johnson win is deceptive too .Johnson can lose to anyone when hes not on. The Dos Anjos win is impressive but a good stylistic matchup for him , same with the Diaz win . Beating Takanori Gomi when he did is monstrous and is his best win .

Yes, I've looked back on his record too and there really is a good case that HE would make. The point to take away from it is how far you can go with just wrestling, and cardio Guida's two main weapons. (My lasting impression of him was when he fought Gray Maynard, a superior wrestler to him, and his strategy was to bounce around the ring like college kid hopped up on molly at a rave.)

The long hair and belching would at least confuse him.

He’s certainly got some wins over big names. He can have a boringish grind to get the win. Or he can go full berserker mode. I definitely like the guy.

You forgot to add he consistently get KOed / submitted by featherweights like Chad Mendes, Brian Ortega, Thiago Tavares etc. (Khabib KOed Tavares in the first round).

Also, he can't even top Benson Henderson in the top LWs of all time, due to Benson already winning LW UFC belt and having a win over him.

Guida's wins have aged like fine wine. The proof is in the record. Guida is the shadow LW GOAT

Probably not a guy you'd want to meet on the medieval battlefield, that's for sure.
