Hey I just got the newest edition of grappling magazine and guess whos on the cover? Chuck Liddell?!?! I understand hes a BJJ purple belt and hes got a wrestling background but since nobody has seen chucks ground game arent you all a bit suprised?

oh btw Im a huge fan of Chucks I still just thought that this was a bit strange.

Where can I get a subscription? I can't find the magazine anywhere.

He has been on the cover a few times in the past also. I have every issue since 2003. I will look it up and post the issues.

That is a little wierd. That's one of the last guys that I would expect because it's his striking that he is known for although he has great takedown defence.

grappling magazine isnt mutually exclusive to only grappling. they are a comprehensive mma magazine covering everything to do with the sport. there have been plenty of guys on or in the magazine that arent ground specialists.

they've also had paul buentello on the cover

ANd Buenetello covered his strink from clinch positions.

Clinch is a form of grappling, and Chuck is strong with the clinch. So, btw, is sprawling. It's wrong to think of a striker's takedown counters as not being grappling -- they are definitely grappling, and Chuck is real good at that.

Btw, Grappling magazine rocks. The instructionals by Tinguinha they have been putting in are awesome.

Any subscribers know where I can find pics/scans of the last few months' Ring Girls of the Month for Grappling Magazine?...I know it sounds pretty lame, but I'm actually looking for someone in particular...

I once made a pit stop in training while living in Knoxville. There was a BJJ instructor named Helio Moreira who mentioned he trained Wanderlei Silva in BJJ and he too is a purple belt.

can you blame them on wanting to capitalize on the Chuck n Randy fight. besides they are trying to capitalize on the new boom in mma. Hell Bodyguard is changing their name to TapouT.

chuck is too overly exposed I think h is a bit over-rated

chuck has one of the best takedown defense in the world a very good clinch and has an amazing technique to standup if he is on the ground. he is an amazing grappler but is known by his striking, so it doesn

Wanderlei Silva is a BJJ black belt. As is Shogun.
