Weidman's a nutty guy...

Immediately after the fight he said he was happy to lose, Luke was the better fighter, and he was losing the fight before he even threw the kick.

Now he's saying Rockhold was gassed, getting thrown around like a ragdoll, and getting beat up from the body kicks...
"I understand you could watch that fight and see it's back and forth. When that spinning back kick happened and he got the takedown, that was probably when he was at his worst. He was starting to go downhill with the body kicks I was hitting him with. He looked like he was starting to break and I threw him a gift - the spinning back kick - that he capitalized on."

"What hurt the most was I wasn't able to train the right way. I wasn't able to wrestle, I wasn't able to do any sprinting or running or anything to get cardio up. In the back of my mind, that might've been the thing that hurt me the most, knowing that I wasn't able to train properly.

You know what? Obviously I can say it was excuses, but I went in there to beat his ass. I believe I could beat him even like that and I was wrong. I believe if I'm prepared properly the guy has no chance with me. It's my belt he has right now."

Weidman is a cry baby. He can prove it was just luck in the rematch until then shut up

The Chris better put up in the rematch because he is backing himself into a bad position if he losses.

He's not beating Luke.

Why blame the spinning kick and not Weidman's complete lack of anything resembling defense off his back? He looked just as bad as Conor did and he wasn't even rocked before getting taken down.

He does what Belfort/Overeem like to do.

His defense off his back is the exactly the same as his defense on the feet.

Cover his head with both arms in a turtle position until the guy stops punching him then get away. Except he can't get away when he's on his back.

No Chris. You need to stop being such a sore loser. You got your ass kicked.

Chris was closer to breaking in his first Silva fight, than Luke, by far.
Chris actually looked like he was about to cry, missing punches, getting stuffed, until Anderson gifted him a KO by pretending to be drunk and closing his eyes.

You threw it asshole... don't make excuses. Prove it in the octagon.

Otherwise... Be a man, and STFU.

Lets be honest. Chris was on his way to win that fight.

Maybe he's just trying to convince himself to keep his confidence up. I honestly don't know who'd have won that fight if Chris didn't throw that spinning $hit. If I remember correctly it was a pretty close fight. I thought Luke had the upper hand though. I might not be remembering it correctly but I thought Luke looked better in that fight and I thought he was on the way to winning it.

I do think there was something wrong with Chris physically though. He looked very soft and small compared to normal IMO. I think Chris wins the rematch.

It was a close fight and both fighters gassed. They were out of shape. Chris already started his camp. He is motivated and sharp. He will win by decision.

So funny that before the fight I was only of the few picking Luke to win here, now everyone is picking Luke for the rematch. Now I kinda like Weidman chances.

What Weidman said is true and I think anything can happen in the fight. There are no favorites in this fight.

Agreed. Not any 'fans' here gunna admit that thou, its all about the hype train with most here.

Same results incoming from their next fight wonder what he's gonna say then

Both player came into the fight unprepared and injured.
Rockhold seemed to have a leg injury and both their cardios weren't as good as before.

Kudos to both fighters for not pulling out.
Hard to predict how the fight will go if both come close to 100%

P.S: Weidman was behind on the scorecards, lost the first 2 rounds (2-0, 2-0 and 1-1 scorecards) though it should've been 1-1 from what I remember

I don't like 'on his way to winning' ...that is fucking bullshit. Was he winning up until that point? Probably, yeah. It don't mean shit. It's a fight and it takes one punch or one mistake to change the entire thing. He can blame it on his brain fart spinning kick all he wants and he's not wrong but it just rubs me the wrong way.

Weidman and Hendricks have Brazilian in them? Never knew.

The way Anderson gave you a gift (supposedly) -- clowning around and having his hands down???

How poetic would it be if Weidman shatters his hand or wrist catching Rockhold on the elbow or something, and loses because of it.
