I'm watching the Friday movies tonight and they just played Friday After Next (the Christmas one) and now they're playing Next Friday. And man I gotta say.... in hindsight, they nailed the casting in the sequels. They had the crazy task of having to replace Smokey, which nobody thought was possible. And when I first saw Next Friday, I thought DayDay paled in comparison to Smokey. He still kinda does, a little, but man Mike Epps definitely held his own. Dude was funny! And he's 10x better in Friday After Next. He kinda came into his own in that one. So much so that if they made another Friday movie, I'd want both Smokey AND Dayday in it. Just seeing those 2 together would be comedy gold. I'm not asking who was better in the Friday movies alone, because it's impossible to really top Chris Tucker there. But overall, who had the better, funnier film career? I think it's kind of a tough call.
