I've ran into somewhat of a problem. I've searched on this and couldn't find much but I have measured my wast and I'm getting 29". I'm a skinny guy. Anyways the only place I really know of that sells shorts is Combat sports international. I haven't really explored anywhere else. Should I got with a size 29 in fight shorts? Or maybe a 30?? Any ideas? I don't want to order shorts and then not be comfortable with them and have to send them back and have to wait.

how do you like your shorts to fit? if you're going off exact size measurements, i'm a 42 inch waiste, but I can wear 40s in SPRAWL (with ALOT of leg room and nice and baggy) or 38's in SPRAWL's.

you could go a size bigger, or smaller, it's really upto you how you like them to fit.

Other brands are different however, so let us know if you are looking at other brands too.

Any suggestions would be nice. I'm really new. I want something comfortable. Something to fit decent and that aren't going to slide off me lol. And I guess something I can do some conditioning in also.

If you're concerned about being an in-between size, look into shorts that have an elastic waist.

They are less "hit or miss" than the standard board shorts in terms of sizing.

Off the top of my head... SSF, Sprawl, Cagewalk, Truth v3.

I guess I should ask what exactly are board shorts and what are long shorts?

No offense, but I personally thought you were a smaller guy(ie- 28-30" waist)... I guess it was just the stereo-type with pink n shit...lol...

To the starter.... get some elastic waist... they are the best for adjustable sizing...

I'm a LHW at the moment? I'm down to 94-95kg, from 115kg at one stage lol.

though I want to lose another 5-10kg. somewhere in there. I have some fat still on me so :(

For good quality shorts, off the top of my head: BFW, Inspirit (both of which I own and use personally. Awesome stuff by both companies,) Sprawl, Nogi US, Truth, CageWalk, Tapout (from what my friends use to train/compete in and what I've read in online reviews and such.)

The BFW shorts have a waist system similar to standard board shorts, so they're not quite as adjustable as an elastic waistband, but I've found that ordering to exact waist size works really well. Inspirits all have an elastic waistband so you can be a bit on one side or the other and the shorts will still fit fine. Great service from both as well. Sprawl and Nogi US also get rave reviews on here, so really any of them should work out okay for you.

and HOT chicks!!!

As far as shorts, you get what you pay for. I've been rockin' TapouT long shorts since they dropped and I love how they fit & pretty much swear by them. I also like Hitman's shorts, The new Recon shorts are bad ass, the material stretches and they fit a size up. So for you, a 28 fits like a 29. Nogi makes an awesome short, too. Plus the price is a little cheaper than TapouT & Hitman.
