What are your thoughts on this? It's something I never even thought about until I was rolling Tuesday night and I found myself in guard and using the end of my belt to wrap around the back of a guy's neck to try and break his posture. I never really got to a point where I could try to choke him with it, but it made me wonder if this is considered an acceptable tactic or if it's considered more of a dirty move. I have maybe a year's worth of BJJ training (spread out over a few years) and I've never seen belt chokes taught or even attempted. What if a guy's belt comes off during a match and you just pick it up and strangle him with it? That's an extreme example, but you get what I'm driving at. You can use the gi to choke people, and belt is part of the gi, right?

thanks.
