Chinese MMA Thread: Redux

It seems like the old thread was lost when the big forum transfer happened. With the Chinese MMA scene busier and bigger than ever now seems like a good time to bring it back. Kunlun fight is really starting to up their MMA presence at the moment and it seems like either they, WLF, WBK, or CKF have an event on any given weekend.

Glory of Heroes 6: Genesis
The return of Guan Wang, he's missed the last year and a half with a knee injury. Ji Xian, He Nannan, and Song Kenan are all on the event as well.

Kunlun Fight MMA 8
TUF China winner Lipeng Zhang is defending his Welterweight belt against 9-0 Killys Mota. Zhang is riding an 11 fight win streak that he built up in just 14 months. Bantamweight (Flyweight limits) champ Meixuan Zhang will be defending his title against Kirihito Kodama. Batmunkh Burenzorig, spinning shit master Muslim Salikhov, and top female prospect Weili Zhang are also on the card.

Also recently announced is that ROAD FC plans to hold 4 events in China next year. Also with ROAD FC, China will be represented in their upcoming $1 million lightweight tournament by former WBK champ Habiti Tuerxunbieke, RUFF and MGL-1 vet Khuukhenkhuu Amartuvshin, Lianru Shang, and Zhenyue Huang. All 4 won trials bouts at ROAD FC 34 in order to qualify.

The 2nd round of ROAD FC's China Trials will take place at ROAD FC 38 on April 15th. Bouts will be Amaraa vs Habiti Tuerxunbieke and Zhenyue Huang vs Lianru Shang. The winners of both bouts will be seeded into the main bracket of the million dollar tournament.

After a pretty quiet month, Kunlun Fight MMA 9 went down today. I believe it streamed on their app so I will look around for videos later.

Results

Lipeng Zhang now has 13 straight wins in the last 16 months, he's becoming a force for Kunlun. Weili Zhang picked up her 10th consecutive win, hopefully they can start finding her some elite competition to face.

Glory of Heroes also has an event in Brazil next week. A few notable fighters on the MMA side of the card with ONE Chinese tournament champion Sen Yang, Bo Meng (only person to beat Weili Zhang) vs Aline Sattelmayer, and Liucai Cui. Top MMA prospect Israel Adesanya will be fighting on the kickboxing portion.

Predictably the heavies are all making wang jokes and assuming he's a random scrub. Pretty big signing as far as the Chinese scene goes though, he was arguably the top Chinese talent during his run in RUFF. He was out with a knee injury for awhile but returned with a win last month.
