I don't have a crystal ball so I can't speculate truly with any expertise on the effectiveness of a single payer system in the US, it's a very large and diverse country after all. However, if empirical evidence on if such a system could work, look only to Canada and the Scandinavian countries I mentioned before. The Canadian results are probably the most realistic for their results on the US and most Canadians are satisfied. Compared to the US system that we have now, where most Americans are dissatified......

As for Global Warming, well yes, something needs to be done and it will probably cost significant amounts of money in the short term to offset the long term devastation that it will cause. In that case I really don't know what you guys base your arguments on, because the evidence is really stacked against that whole argument.

His credit score is low because he owns $400,000 in debt, if you have the money to pay for first class tickets, luxury hotels, high speed traveling you can pay your debt. Don't get me wrong if Bernie ever get elected America is going to hell but China tried all the things Bernie is proposing like universal healthcare, free college etc it doesn't work.

BTW nothing wrong with what Xu has said that's just more thought police like in UK people gets arrested for refusing to use pronouns.

First off, Canada has a fraction of the population of the US and has essentially surrendered the entire responsibility for it's national protection to the US. So they don't have to fund defense like so many other nations under the US umbrella. That must be nice. It's hard to find Canadians who are satisfied when you actually talk to them. Most of them bitch non-stop about their health care system. Everyone who can afford it comes here for treatment. And the best Canadian doctors come here too to get paid. It's not a perfect system, but it's not the nightmare people abroad have this idea of. People aren't left to die at hospital doors. The federal govt is too incompetent to run health care.

They would screw it up even worse than when they took over public education and the US went from the best with states and local governments running it to one of the worst in the West.

Universal Healthcare and free higher education seems to work well for Scandinavian countries. For the most part people seem very satisfied with their quality of life.
