Gukesh wins the Rapid portion. Two rounds of blitz and then the tournament champion is crowned.

A few people, including Magnus, still have a realistic chance of winning. I think Gukesh will struggle a bit in the Blitz, but who knows after this performance.

Gukesh is having a great tournament. Still not the strongest in rapid & blitz, but has all the time in the world when it comes to classical, which is where most Indian players excel. Magnus still has to figure Gukesh out - and I believe he will. But his defeat to Gukesh on Thursday was pretty bad.

Gukesh getting absolutely hammered in Blitz. Magnus has taken the lead.

Still a ways to go, but not particularly surprising.

his lucky jeans weren't so lucky. he should have opened with the cock and balls.

this is one of the dirtiest checkmates that i've ever played. though after hilariously chasing this dudes bishop up and down the board while advancing my pawn army, i managed to overlook a chance to capture that bishop with my e8 rook. but soonafter i found an even better use for that rook. SACRIFICE THE ROOK!

gothamchess would hate me for doing this. even though it immediately forced a mate

Nice work. The discovered check on move 19 was the beginning of the end. Rolled the pawns down and could have destroyed him a few different ways.
