As with most people his age (+/-50) who grew up in a farming community, my father drank Raw milk for most of his childhood. His family owned a share in a cow from the local dairy farmer, and got milk from him.
The generation that has extreme concerns, which I would say is between 20-30, is just no longer used to the idea. I have definately heard more than a fair number of people say that they thought it was 'gross' to drink raw milk, just as I am sure an equal number of people would think it was 'gross' to drink milk still warm from the cow.
The fact is, we are so far removed from our food, that the majority of us only vaguely understand that milk comes from cows, and we think that it being cold is the 'normal' or even natural way for it to be consumed.
