Chavez vs Duran

Lol that's crazy I don't really want to see that fight. If I'd want to see old guys fight I'd just put seano in with one of the older gents here.

there's an old Jofre/Arguello exhibition match on youtube, it's a fun watch.

It's always fun hearing stories about exhibition matches. Apparently Ali absolutely humiliated ingemar johansson to the point that Ingo's manager had to end the match for fear of damage control. Tokuyama did the same with Hasegawa (except the managers did not get involved). Apparently Galaxy and Watanabe had an exhibition match too (Watanabe had avoided Galaxy during his title reign) after both had retired and it was supposed to be "spirited and evenly matched"

Fenech and Nelson fought just a few years ago too.

This will probably sell as many PPvs as the main event.

Jake Lamotta will turn 95 this summer ...who's he gonna fight?

That was an actual proper fight, not an exhibition! Crazy huh? Surprisingly both still looked good for how old they were, though Fenech had obviously kept in better shape.

I'd be more interested to see Duran fight Chavez Jr. Probably the easier fight for him.

Lol. Duran does not appear to be in condition for even the 2 rounds they want to schedule. But it sounds like both of them are excited about it, so I hope they have fun.

Lookin like Larry Holmes, flabby and sick -2Pac

Duran does not look like he has kept himself in much shape, let alone fighting shape, but the man is a cagey puncher and guys like Chavez that come at their opponent and get in close have always been made to order for Duran. Hagler admitted to Duran being his toughest fight, Leonard was at his best moving away from Leonard. Hearns used his range and size to annihilate Duran. Anybody that moves at Duran has a hard fight.

Chavez looking in better shape makes me think he will outwork him for two rounds, but Duran has always been scrappy and smart (that second part a lot of casual observers failed to see).

Chavez is in good shape, much more motivated than his kid. Duran's older and fat. I'm taking old man JCC to get the win, but can never count out Hands of Stone.
