Yeah, but their male fighters aren't marketed like this every bloody day of the week:
It show zero tact. Which is not surprising, but.
That isn't a UFC production. Please stop trying to debate. You don't have the faculties for it.
THey've all been models, you goof. And if there was a larger female or gay market, they would be marketed more in that fashion. As of now the male fighters have more straight male fans than female fans, and so portraying them as gladiators.
AND THUS why selling used women's bra/shorts carries a different, and dare I say, tackier connotation - because the brass knows full well how they currently market female fighters to the 18-34 male demographic (sexually), and so a pant-sniffer is most likely to candidate to buy them.

MMA: the epitome of a pseudo-sport
See, this is where your concept falls down. And since I'm actually involved in this business, let me explain it to you.
There are over 400 male fighters. There are under 70 female fighters. Female fighters are quicker to rise in the ranks and thus the interest in the items are of higher value. Top-10 fighters get a stronger billing and are seen by more people. A win in the Top-10 can mean a title shot, which means a quicker road to a title. All of these considerations are taken into account when setting prices.
The chances of having an ability to flip the item female garments for a higher price is greater, and thus the current price rises.

They are selling the mens items as well but the womans items fall into the fetish zone especially at those prices.
They probably assumed it would be perceived like this.... forgetting that a large portion of their fans have the emotional fortitude of a middleschooler. It's the old "I'm in the business" card. Oh how I've missed it.
I'm not talking prices. I never mentioned anything about prices. I care nothing of prices. I'm was speaking to the fact that, as seems often the case of late with the UFC, they're lacking in tact or any foresight as to how things may be perceived. IE. Used bras. Will you concede even that much?
besides rousey, none of the other females are high prices compared to any other fighter. and rousey is because of her fame
I know Waterson was over 1k and JoJo is 1k, I dont understand what you are saying.
