I just turned 33 last week.

I’ve been selling mortgages for the past 10 years or so. And made a good living for me and my kid. We have everything we need. My kid is 12 now and becoming much more independent.

I’m thinking now is the time to do whatever I want with my life.

I finished Undergrad and always wanted to go to Law School.

Also I wrote a novel that I want to try to get published. It’s finishing editing next week.

I have all the energy and motivation in the world, and I’m in great shape.

Anyone else change careers in their mid 30’s?

Congratulations on the start of your porn career.

Yeah and it was good because it wasn't too drastically different. I was a data analyst for around 10 years then when my company laid off our whole building, I took a job as a director of a small construction company. I did the project management, HR, payroll, all the financials, and various customer facing stuff. Payroll and all the financials were easy, it was right up my alley as a data analyst. I learned Quickbooks and used what I knew of spreadsheets and analysis. The rest of the job was at work sites and outdoors which I loved. I would say to try to find aspects that overlap and be strong in that, then dive head first into the new things you'll need to learn.

Are you sure you have all the energy? I mean you could be doing something else you like, maybe focus one of your talents, draw, play an instrument various other things. Studying is frustrating, idk i studied civil engineering, it was so tiring, now i just study languages, learn chess, read books, chill do whatever i like.

Good for you man, go for it. I was not brave enough to leave my stable job in the military when I REALLY wanted to when I was in my mid 30s. I stuck it out to hit retirement age in my early 40s, and switched careers then, I am literally making 3 times my military salary now, and wish I had taken the plunge earlier.

Go to law school and specialize in bird law
I specialized in birddance. Can't recommend if you are looking for money.

And on topic, go for it! 33 is still very young in Western countries. A friend of mine changed careers at 54 very successfully. If you have the time and will you can do it!

As a 33 year old lawyer who would love a career change, I say do not go to law school.
