I'm on these forums pretty regularly, and I'm always tired of 1. People making posts in the wrong forum, and then 2. People complaining about them being in the wrong forum, and then 3. People complaining about those complaining about them being in the wrong forum. Instead of having a HW forum, which is essentially supposed to be the Zuffa forum, and then everyone else, why not just start making forums as such? A Zuffa forum, a ProElite forum (including EXC, Cage Rage, ICON, and even Strikeforce and Spirit MC since they have working relationships), Pacific MMA (since there are a lot of people who like DREAM and WVR and won't bash each other so much, plus DEEP and Pancrase), European MMA, and groups like Adrenaline and the Affliction/GBP company.

Do you think this would help to stop a lot of the petty bickering by encouraging fanboys to be in their respective forums so they can more easily find like-minded people, while the more reasonable members can still hop around?

    Ideas?

nah man, fan boys and trolls go EVERYWHERE in sherdog...and put shit on fighters from other orgs just to stir some shit and get other people going nuts and flaming back...these are forums you have to remember, just think of HW as exlusivly UFC...people who are fans of every other company go there to say kimbo would knock out this guy or fedor would break this guys arm or cro cop would do this

making seperate forums for each org wont change a thing

Changing forum names does not restrict idiots from entering other forums. There will always be trolls, spammers, idiots, etc. Nothing will change.

Ok, I apologize for putting it in the wrong forum, but considering this forum is supposed to be for intelligent discussion, I thought it'd fit alright. Also, your posts kind of proved my point. I wasn't so much complaining about people posting in the wrong forums, but all of the bickering that goes on as a result of it. I don't make that many threads of my own, but this is probably the second or third time I've done it myself.

Also, I know it's a very idealistic view, I just wanted to put my idea out there. I know trolls will pop up everywhere, but I was thinking that maybe separating the forums would encourage certain die hards to comment in the forum of their favorite orgs and to not bother engaging in pointless squabbles with other people.

I didn't expect as much sarcasm as I got, but maybe it's my fault.

I think your suggestions for changing the names/topics of those forums is a good idea. I don't think it will stop the bickering or people going into those other forums to stir the pot.
