The local news had security video of 16(!) short kids, probably middle school students, flood into this little store, each carrying/armed with a skateboard and proceed to matter of factly shoplift and leave. The owner grabbed one kid at the door who then swung his skateboard at the owner while a few other kids who already escaped came back looking to swing their skateboards too. The school principal recognized them and said something like that wasn't their first rodeo.

This has me thinking about what if there was a lethal vigilante force that was thorough about confirming guilt before permanently eliminating criminals. Those little shits are going to be career criminals and graduate to more serious crimes.
