Exactly what did chandler say that is wrong? makachev has no wins over a top 10 guy, chandler has nothing to gain and everything to lose by fighting him. Of course he's not going to fight makachev.

Doubt Chandler is scared. He was more than willing to fight Khabib.

At the time of that video, Islam was an extremely high risk low reward fight. But now that he has moved up the rankings, the reward has increased significantly.

Chandler didn't want to fight Islam when he wasn't ranked and had the option to fight higher ranked fighters. That isn't scared that's just not being stupid, every fighter would rather fight a higher ranked opponent if given the opportunity.

This narrative of fighter A being scared of fighter B needs to be dropped. It’s ridiculous. No one who fights for a living is scared of another fighter.

What’s actually happens is people act like divas refusing to fight anyone ranked below them. You see a lot of that in LW and WW. And they tend to avoid fighters with difficult styles like Islam’s. There’s a reason why Nate, Masvidal, Conor, and others complain about fighting Usman and Khabib. They know they can’t win against dominant wrestlers.

28 fights with only his first outside of Strikeforce, Bellator, and the UFC.
He should only be fighting top contenders in title eliminators. If Islam keeps winning (like he probably will,) then by all means.
