Which fighter has the most championship potential in any weight class?

My answer is Mayday, really young dude and clear cut number 3. Eventually Faber will retire/start losing/take fun fights and Barao will move up when Also does so he has the best shot at getting the belt and defending it a few times.
Rory is another one who's got a lot of potential and is young but I think he runs into trouble against Condit if they fight again given his less aggressive style but if he makes some changes he has a good chance of winning the belt.

travis browne, if kelvin beats story in a good performance I say he could be for real also

I don't see Rory ever getting/keeping the belt.

I'd be surprised if he got passed Hendricks --- I just don't see what he has for him.

Hope Werdum subs him haha he just rubs me the wrong way
Too soon to say for Kelvin, he needs a top 10 opponent first but I do think he's got a lot of potential

I really don't like browne either, and I want doomer to sub him also. :icon_twis

DC at LHW is a pretty obvious choice.

Now that he's down to where he needs to be to comfortably make weight consistently, he's going to be a problem for anyone he fights in that division. I expect he'll be getting a shot at the belt soon enough.

Vitor Jesus Belfort and Machida. Condit too.

And of course Conor McGreGOAT. Aldo wants to fight at 155 because he is ducking the GOAT.

Khabib and Condit.
Khabib is obviously still undefeated and has manhandled some really tough guys. I think he can out-grapple guys like Benson/Gil/Thomson and make it look dirty against Pettis, though I really like Pettis so I'd be pulling for the champ.
Condit for WW. The man was built for the 5 round fight and if he can somehow improve his tdd to be more consistent I think he beat's anyone over the course of five rounds other than GSP.

It's hard to tell cos he's only fought Cummins, the Shad fights needs to be rescheduled to tell properly where he's at in the division.
That said... Jones via decision :D

I consider his impressive wins at HW to be a decent indicator that he'll fare quite well against the top fighters at LHW. I'm not saying he's a lock, but I think it's pretty clear that he's got championship potential.

And Jones could certainly decision him by staying at range. But if you cannot imagine a scenario with DC winning, you're not really looking at the entire picture.

Fast-forward one or two years these guy could be wear the gold in there division
HW Travis Brownie
LHW DC
MW Jacare Souza
WW Rory Mac
LW Khabib
FW Chad Mendes
BW TJ Dillashaw
FLW S.Pettis

hw-browne
lhw-dc
mw-rockhold
ww-thatch
lw-khabib
fw-poirier
bw-no clue who can beat barao
flyw-no clue who can beat johnson

not saying those guys will be champions, but i think theyre championship material

FLY - Bagautinov, Makovsky
BW - E. Perez, Bruce Leeroy, Holdsworth
FW - McGregor, Kawajiri
LW - Khabib, Rustam, Joe Ellenberger might make some waves.
WW - Yan Cabral, Kelvin Gastelum, Thatch
MW - Cezar Ferreira, Yoel Romero, Clint Hester
LHW - Rumble, Nikita Krylov
HW - Todd Duffee, Soa, Jard Rosholt

New-ish guys who seem like they will have a good UFC carreer.

There's a big difference in HW and LHW with the weight cut who knows how it could effect DC? Especially since his only fight at LHW was not against someone who's highly ranked at LHW so it's difficult to see how he'd stack up against the elite of the division.
Reason why I said Jones would win by decision is because I've looked at the bigger picture and obviously DC could win but it's more likely Jones wins IMO.

He made the weight just fine first time down, and I see no indication he'll have any problems from here on out doing so.

Championship potential - DC got it.

Potential, sure I agree but championship potential cant be determined until he fights someone who's elite (top 5 say.)

Vitor Jesus Belfort and Machida. Condit too.
.

Those 3 do not have championship potential...they ARE former UFC world champions! who just happen to still be performing at a high level and can win again. I wouldnt include them as prospects, they're a step above that category.

Machida will be MW champ.

Hopefully Condit gets the WW strap as soon as possible.

Pettis is already champ. I'm gonna be a happy guy if all three of them are holding belts at the same time.

I'm not sold on Browne yet, he has heart and all but when someone gets dominated and battered for several minutes they aren't ready for a belt.

Belfort has the most potential at the moment, since he's a great matchup for Weidman.

Gustaffson as well since he has the body frame to make it an even fight with JJ. Apart from that I don't see any other champion losing anytime soon.
