Champ Champs should only be recognized if they go up a weight class

With how much mass GSP
Moving down a division isn't an advantage if you face someone that is big for that division. You will both weigh the same. If GSP moves down to LW, he's wont be bigger or stronger than Khabib or Lee for example.

When you lose weight, you also lose size and strength. It's mind boggling isn't it?
With how much mass GSP has put on for both his acting roles and the Bisping fight it will be a struggle for him to make WW again. GSP making it down to LW is not possible short of chopping off a limb.

What is this supposed to mean?

You are further proving my point. DC is shorter and has a smaller frame than most LHWs. He just carries a lot of body fat.
His upper and middle body frame is noticeably bigger compared to jones.

He has said himself that he had to force-feed himself to gain that weight, so making WW will be easy. Also he always says that he easily loses weight in general so maybe LW is possible too if he diets for 3-4 months.

If he moves down, if anything the bigger LWs like Khabib will have an advantage as far as size because they are more accustomed to performing at that particular weight. Every division has a different feel to it, different pace etc. The notion that moving down is "unfair" is beyond ridiculous.

Except I didn't say that. you're basically using strawman at this point.
Then if you agree that he carries a lot of body fat, what makes him such a huge LHW if you are not talking about him being fat?

Because if you agree that he carries a lot of body fat, which he does, that means he could lose that fat. Therefore he's not a big LHW.

So you are making absolutely zero sense.

He does carry a lot of fat, but he performs the best at that weight and he uses all his weight (muscle and fat) very effectively. If DC had Barboza's % body fat he would be a small LHW or MW, but that doesn't mean he can perform at a high level at that weight.

It’s like graduating college then enrolling in high school.

If your 30 pounds heavier on fight night than what you weighed the day before, you should be damn embarrassed as a so called fighter.

I don't see why it should matter which order you win the belts in? It's not like your frame will change size. Winning just one belt is impressive, and winning two is a great accomplishment no matter the order.

This shouldnt count as a champ champ anyways if they are getting rid of the 125 weight class.

Agreed, this is a huge bitch move by TJ, lost a ton of respect for him.

<TrumpWrong1>

TJ at FLW is the equivalent of DC at LHW and Conor at FW.

All champ champs goes up a weight class only TJ goes for a smaller guy in a lower weight class.

I honestly don't understand why people think the order in which you do it makes any difference.

I mean, you all do realize that they weigh in before the fight, right?

Guy makes his first run fighting at a heavier weight than he needs to, wins a belt, drops down to the weight we assume he could have made all along, wins another belt.

Guy makes his first run fighting at the lowest weight he can, wins a belt, goes up to a heavier weight than he needs to, wins another belt.

Seriously, what's the difference?

Tj at flyweight is the equivalent of DC at middle weight.
<seedat>

DC started his MMA career at HW, only dropped down because of Cain, walks at 250 lbs, and rehydrated to a staggering 236 lbs for the Rumble rematch.

Sure, he could cut to MW if he starved himself to a low body fat percentage, but it would probably wreck his performance. Hence why he struggles to make 205 instead of just getting really lean and heaving an easy water cut.
