Conor literally screwed the UFC over multiple times and forced the UFC to strip him.

What people fail to realize is that the UFC and Jon have a great relationship and are on the same page. They asked Jon what he wanted to do. He said he wanted 6 months to train.

Keep in mind since 2019 Jon has been a once a year fighter.

Khabib was also a once a year fighter and was suspended for a year and no one was calling for him to be stripped.

Jon just fought in November. If it's gets to November again and he hasn't fought them we can start theorizing there's a real rift between the UFC and Jon.

Honestly though imo the fight is signed for this summer and the UFC is just waiting to announce and chael is just promoting disinformation as a way to set the announcement up as a surprise.

Which is a shame because I do think Gane would beat Tom.

Certain fighters like Jones and McGregor are under extreme favoritism from the UFC. Fans just have to ride it out. As do the frustrated fighters at the top of the division. Or in the rather ridiculous case of Aspinall who has been interim champion for an eternity.

I hear you, it's just with Jones it's been going on for over a decade. The arrests, legal drama, PED drama, holding up LHW and HW, it just doesn't end. Plus he's at the end of his career and was never as big a draw as Conor. If Dana put up with all that, i doubt he'll let him go now. More wishful thinking.

Not sure how credible this is, but this is a response to the Jon v Tom deal done video. Says super reliable source called him and asked if he was trolling. Then let him know UFC is allowing Jon to get six months off and Tom will defend the interim title again against Gane.


If this comes to pass, would be pretty bogus. Sincerely hope this is trolling, because this is an epic level of duck if true. Pretty disgusting tbh and taints Jon's legacy (probably not to the delusion base of fans anyway)

If this proves to be untrue and Jon signs the contract cool. Chael also talks about how the possibility of Jon v Gane 2 would be a horrible idea, but that's what's on the table.

Gane is another fighter that the UFC brass seem obsessed over getting to be champion. So until he's either retired or declined into nothing he'll be in the title picture. Dana made a big deal about the judging of his fight with Volk but it was all cheap talk.

Connor McGregor didn't defend the FW title during the Ferittas era and clearly demonstrated he had zero intention to (even less than Jones). Randy Courture was also blatantly sitting out due to a contract dispute and was never stripped.
