Without watching the video, I feel comfortable in assuming Chael is just spewing nonsense per usual.

As for Poatan, I'd say he "threw away" rounds because:
1. Izzy is a difficult puzzle to solve. He's a faster, more nuanced striker. Poatan has had similar problems with Izzy in all 3 of their fights.
2. Poatan was conserving energy because he's never fought 5 rounds in mma. In the last round, he seemed freer to empty the gas tank.
