His recent podcast features Forrest Griffin & Chael & him spoke about sponsorship & Reebok.
Chael mentioned that he had a hard time collecting from sponsors & some went bankrupt before paying him.
Forrest mentioned he was even sued by sponsored that owed him money to try & get some back.
They both said that Reebok amount is not at the level that most fighters were making before, but felt the fact they have some guaranteed money without all the hassles of trying to get sponsors & then collecting the money after.

They touched on Koscheck going to Bellator & seeming bitter towards UFC & CM Punk (Forrest is fully behind him)

Say what you want about Chael but his podcast is great.

Fighters were better off financially before the reebok deal, period.

They both said that Reebok amount is not at the level that most fighters were making before, but felt the fact they have some guaranteed money without all the hassles of trying to get sponsors & then collecting the money after.

This is not a problem for fighters if they have a manager (which they should if they're int he UFC for christ sakes). So this is pretty much saying it's good managers will be removed and the UFC will have direct control over the fighters and what they make.
