No way Frankie engages or tries to fight. This will be a sprinting contest with Chad standing in the center of the octagon and Frankie avoiding action at all costs.

    Frankie by split decision.

definitely wont be a war. Only chance of rematch is if Frankie loses. He will whine and throw his hat and say a bunch of self entitled things.

I think they're hoping Chad manages to keep Frankie away from Conor forever.

Cardio Frankie can definitely take a decision on Mini Mendes. For me, it's either Chad by KO or Frankie by pitter patter split decision.

I used to be a Frankie hater, but it's not really his fault, at least not entirely, that he keeps going to close decisions. And it's understandable he gets upset after a close loss.
He used to be quite tentative at times, but he has been a lot more aggressive since he moved to FW. The Swanson fight in particular is a great example. I think he will come to fight, not just dance around.

I'm sure that's what Cub Swanson thought too.

He always comes to fight, most people on Sherdog just don't understand why fighting is.

I thought the exact same thing. Big Edgar fan, but against another wrestler with powerfull hands, he's gonna do a lot sticking and moving. A whole lot....

This. His fights with Oliveira, Penn, Swanson, and Faber should have proved this by now.

This was my first thought. I am a huge Chad Mendes fan, but I want to see Frankie win to see him challenge McGregor/Aldo winner.

Frankie could barely beat Faber. I mean he won a clear decision but it was just nothing that screams this guy can beat Chad Mendes. If Frankie wins cool I would just be surprised to see that happen.

To be fair Uriah fought incredibly defensively and didn't do anything except for look for overhands that were never there.

Is he fighting short camp mendes or full camp mendes? It's going to make a big difference.

lol in all seriousness, I do agree with TS though. Frankie is like Clay Guida; he's only exciting when he's getting his ass kicked

I actually think Mendes will stop (or at least win a lopsided decision over) Frankie. People seem to forget that the Gray Maynard rematch was nearly 5 years ago and I sincerely doubt he can still recover from shots like that; especially considering Gray Maynard was never a serious finisher in his career. Edgar's schedule/level of competition at FW has been atrocious considering he's been there nearly 3 years now (not to mention he was basically the LW champ when he dropped down) and Mendes is easily his toughest opponent in years. Mendes TKO in Round 1

Frankie's boxing is better. He doesn't have the same power as Chad, so of course he's going to stick and move. He also times the hell out of his TD's so I can see him getting it to the ground and putting on another BJJ clinic. Chad can win it, but it would have to either be by KO or by cage clinching. But TAM isn't really known for game planning so I see Chad getting out pointed.
