I know Chad Mendes lost recently to Frankie Edgar, but has anyone heard anything pertaining to his next move in the octagon??
He's one of my favorite fighters and I'd hate to see him retire now.

He should be taking adequate time off to let his chin fully recover.

On the lookout for all of his missing shirts according to the faber portions of embedded.

i said you,

he hunting and drinking beers.

He got KTFO twice, hes taking a break.

Trying to figure out his next move most likely, what is it three loses in a row? Two via stoppage? Might not be back for a while.

He should consider dropping to 135. His options at 145 are terrible.

Medical suspension I hope.

After a brutal Ko fighters should take a mandatory 6 months off imo.

And Imo the Ufc should arrange a minimum payout for fighters for that period.

Neither will ever happen but if there ever is a figters union. Penalising eye pokes via immediate 1 point penalty, and the above mentioned would be high on my list of priorities after fighter pay increase.

He is truly 5'4 and should probably fight at 125 if he was honest with himself and drop some muscle and admit he's a very small man.

If he drops some of that muscle Bulk he could
Do it easily and be very competitive.

I like Chad I just don't like his salty attitude after Conor fight.

it was a rough year for Mendes...got conor's balls dropped on his head, then got fed into a woodchipper against frankie...let him rest a couple months...

He can easily sell a fight with Dillishaw or Cruz with the whole TAM angle and avenging Faber's losses. Just needs to lose a bit of muscle.

I agree man. (Although both TJ and Cruz smokes him)

Yeah winning is a different story. Their speed and footwork would be a problem for him. But, as far as drawing a paycheck those would be great options for him over a low-ranked guy like Faber was getting for a while.

Recovering from back to back KOs, man. He should really take time off. One more KO so soon and I think he's done in the UFC.

Hopefully we won't see him fight until next year, so he can heal up completely.

I think he should fight Max Holloway. If he loses, then drop down to 135.

Maybe he can get somewhere there.. If Dom gets injured

He's had possibly the toughest strength of schedule out of any UFC fighter in the last couple years IMO. Fighting Aldo, Lamas, McGregor and Edgar back to back is insane. All top 3 when he fought them. His body would need time to rest even if he wasn't getting rocked and/or KOd in almost all of them. Let him chill, hunt and drink beer this fall and then maybe a return to training in the winter and an early 2017 fight date.
