Chad Mendes vs. Ricardo Lamas @ UFC Fight Night April 4th

Awesome fight here.....hope they sign it

That's a good fight, but I think Mendes takes it via violence.

Mendes by being more alpha - Lamas will fade in the face of an opponent who is his equal(or better).

Fantastic fight, especially after their last fights against Aldo and Bermudez respectively.

Mendes beats Frankie.

I'm not so sure about that. He definitely could the only problem is it's Frankie. I'd love to see the match up though just to see how it would play out.

Mendes beats Frankie.

I don't know man, I wouldn't be to sure on that. Frankie looked absolutely incredible in his last fight. I think Frankie/Mendes is the fight to make at 145. Has to be 5 rounds though. Gosh what a fight that would be. Both are so crazy good. But I think I would lean toward Edgar

Damn good fight.

I got Mendes but Lamas is also a beast.

good fight. Shame they didn't make Edgar vs Mendes.

But i guess they had to wait to see what happens Sunday. I wonder who he could fight now. Nobody is left.

Exactly what I wanted to see.
It would undoubtedly be for the true #1 contenders fight.
A fight to determine the two best in the division.

Edgar dismantled Cub Swansons streak; which in my opinion,
is more impressive and definitive than Bermudez' streak that
Lamas broke (which was also impressive)

Considering that win-since the BJ fight doesn't say much about
Edgar's standing in the division- as well as the performance
Mendes put against Aldo in their fight... matching the champ for skill
and determination throughout the fight, even more impressive than
Edgar's crack at Aldo.... that fight just absolutely makes sense.
One of the only true times that I have the slightest hope for a bit
of a mix up before these fights fall through.

With that; this is a great fight (Mendes/Lamas)
Lamas looked stellar against Bermudez.
But Hacran proved to be a tough fight for him.
I use that as a gauge for potential of performance against high
level competitors. & Because of that, I see Mendes pulling this
off. Most likely a decision, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw
a guillotine or something on a desperate takedown. Mendes is
going to do exactly what Benavidez is doing at 125 & what
Urijah is doing at 135... just knocking down the top dogs of their
weight class systematically until they undeniably get a title shot again.
I love seeing it, personally

Here's to hoping for a Cisco rematch!!

Frankie looked really good against Cub Swanson, who has shitty takedown defense. He won't take Mendes down so easily, and Mendes has the power and speed to tag and hurt Frankie.

and if lamas wins? christ conor save us from all these rematches.

mendes most likely wins.

Dang, I wanted Edgar vs Mendes. Oh well, still a good match. I'll take Mendes.

That's what makes it such an interesting fight, on paper it's a bad fight for Frankie but he can pretty much never be counted out.

Conor will get his undeserved rematch after Siver. & He'll get put down for it.
Then we get to see the true number #1 contenders fight each other for
their rightful rematches/shots.

I'd love to see Holloway continue his streak & face Conor in a rematch.
That'll be the fight to make at 145 some time down the line.

Well lookie there...two Top 5 ranked fighters in the Featherweight division fighting each other...I thought the UFC stopped doing that.

Mendes takes it and it's probably not all that exciting
