Chad Mendes also owns the record for most knockdowns of any fighter in Featherweight history with five.

From a fighter that won 5 of his 6 WEC fights by decision, he turned it around big time in the UFC after his title fight with Aldo.

EDIT: Edited due to confusion with Chuck's 7 straight KO/TKOs. But 5th straight KO at Featherweight is for sure

As it stands, Mendes’s last four wins have come by way of either KO or TKO, and a fifth straight would give him sole bragging rights as being the only fighter in UFC history to do so.

I've seen this posted several times but it isn't true. Chuck had 7 KO/TKO's.

Maybe in the FW division alone?

If this is the case then he's already got it, not counting Aldo's KO streak in the WEC. Not really sure what the big deal here is. Are they not counting Liddell's Horn win as a legit TKO, and instead going with Anderson's recent KO streak prior to the Weidman fight?

I love this new Mendes, he used to be pretty boring before the Aldo fight. I remember he said in an interview he never knew he had the KO power that he has, and that the Aldo fight lit a fire in his ass to start finishing fighters.

Which he may not have had the opportunity to do so if he didn't cheat. It's all speculation of how the fight would've gone but Aldo cheated and benefitted greatly from it. To say that Mendes has nothing for Aldo is ridiculous.
