The first time I saw that, for me, this is huge in my mind. He’s reaching big time. We have never seen Aldo lash out like this; we’ve never seen him lose his temper. I am in his head. I own him right now

From what I recall, Aldo doesn't need to get in Chad's head to beat him, just needs to put his knee into it...

I seriously can't wait for this fight though - even though I'm not a Team Alpha Male guy they are legit as fuck and Mendes is definitely a top-5 FW.

That being said, Mendes has never beat anyone in the top 5 (including Swanson/Lamas/KZ/Poirer), so it's tough to know if he really is the #2 in the division, though he very well might be.

Mendes faced Cub Swanson on August 18, 2010 at WEC 50.[9] He won the fight via unanimous decision.


Edit: I will say that this is the first FW title fight in a long time with a different feeling to it. Instead of say, Aldo/Edgar, where it was like "what a great fight, I can't wait to see how these two stack up", this one has a very "these guys are going to fucking tear each other up" type vibe to it. It's refreshing.
