Since there probably won't be a season this year. I saw something like this on IG in the vein of those crappy surveys chicks fill out on FB to avoid BS curses:

    1) Rank your top 10 programs, put a * next to who you consider a blue blood. Obviously some are going to be unanimous and some not so, just give your opinion.

    2) Build a squad of programs by their prototype position. Eg, QBU, RBU, OLU....

    3) Rank your top program under the following catagories:
    - Group of five
    - Ivy League
    - Service academy
    - Should move to D1 FBS
    - Never won a natty
    - Classic era dynasty (use your own definition of classic & modern)
    - Modern era dynasty (as above)
    - Most loved program
    - Most hated program
    - Underdog program/2nd team

    4) Rank the five best Heisman season's you have witnessed

    5) Rank the five most WTF moments in games you have witnessed.

@Rand M Arthur What's your criteria for putting FSU and Miami there? None of the FL schools were relevant until the 80s.

Because I struggle to think of a more deserving program above them. If not for the fact they don't have a propper campus Stadium, I'd actually call Miami a blueblood too. The SEC likes to big up Florida, but I feel Florida St has a better brand and more consistant pedigree. Of course it doesn't hurt that they have been playing in a basketball conference. Miami were the galacticos of CFB during the late 80's, 90's and early 00's IMHO. It seems like a flash in the pan now, but they were so dominant on the field and off I wouldn't be suprised to see them make a comeback. There are not many schools that can have multiple losing seasons and still get first dibs on 5 star recruits, but that is where Miami is.

The Patriots weren'r relevent until the 00's, the Niners weren't relevent until the 80's, yet they are both NFL royalty now. Just my take.

Ranks based on win % and SOS. Miami is 15 and FSU is 18.

I'm sure Princeton have a pretty high win%, not that they have been relevent to the national picture for nearly a century. Also, what about historically dominant programs like Cal, Minnesota, or Tennessee who are basically also rand outside of a random year eg Manning at Tenn, Rodgers at Cal, Minni last year.

Perfect example, Oregon. They have next to no predigree, and are a current flash in the pan, yet are clearly one of the big boy. Not quite blue blood, but clearly they can take the fight to them.

Cal and Minnesota aren’t historically dominant. Tennessee is still top 10 in wins.

I've only been watching a few years, but my understanding was that Cal had a dominant dynasty in the 20's, and Minnisota in the 30's and 40's?

Neither is close to being top 10 in wins though. Minnesota hasn't won the B10 or even played in a major bowl like the Rose since the 1960 season. It's been even longer for Cal.

Hence the historically dominant. They ruled the roost a century ago but have been treading water since so in total wins many have passed them. Mike Tyson is historically dominant, but would get crushed by any top 10 HW today.

That's not being historically dominant though. A much better example would be Alabama.

Not really, Alabama have been dominant in almost every era. The Bears have been historically dominant. Other than a flash in the pan in the 80's they haven't done shit for half a century, but they built a legacy back then that has endured.

The Bears have won 9 titles and are the winningest NFL franchise.

    You are being obtuse now.

This is like saying the only dominant boxers were Mayweather and Marciano because the other boxers lost eventually.

Any comments ITT about Stanford axing 14 sports because of budget constraints?
