I know everyone is focused on Weidman vs Machida right now, and rightfully so it's a big match. However I'm pretty for Cerrone vs Miller. This one has all the makings of a classic with big implications on both fighters careers. Both have had some huge wins with some stumbling blocks along the way. Both fighters are in the early 30's and could he making their final bid for a title run. It's got all the ingredients for a classic.

Which fighter walks away with the W in this one and how? Miller is a steady grizzled vet who always comes to fight whereas Cerrone is prone to losing the big fights. With that said I think Cerrone rises to the occasion on this one and lives up to his talents. I don't think it's going to be an easy fight at all for him but I think Cerrone pulls out a late second round TKO in a pretty bloody fight. Let's here some other predictions.

Cerrone gets over confident with his ground game and gives up a strangle hold in the first.

To the contrary. I think Cerrone will be lighting him up in the stand up, at which point Miller will get a little desperate and end up in a bad position on the ground.

Cerrone by GnP or sub.

Miller is one of the few guys on the division that could potentially control/submit Cerrone on the ground. But I'm picking Cerrone by TKO, I think Cerrone should give up on his opportunistic subs for this fight and just pound on Jim if he hurts him (or let him get up and keep beating him). Cerrone has underrated wrestling while Jim striking I feel is underrated too, both are two of the most well rounded fighters on the division.
Great matchmaking but I hate seeing on of them lose.

its an awesome fight. Very much looking forward to it. I can see miller winning via a sub! If he doesnt win by sub its gonna be a really hard fight!

If Miller's aggressive and keeps Cerrone on his back foot he can take this. Other than that Cerrone would take it by a large margin.

I can't wait for this fight to be honest, I think it's going to be awesome and both fighters are on the cusp of something great.

This fight is guaranteed awesome. Just like Brown v Lawler, I simply CANNOT imagine this fight turning in to a stinker.

I'm hoping for a 5 round war, but unfortunately I think it's going to be somewhat similar to Nate Diaz v Miller.

Cerrone is incredibly inconsistent. But I think he's really found his groove. He's realised that he's at his best when he just doesn't care. He's at his best when he's spent half his trainging camp riding bulls, climbing cliffs and riding jet skis out on the lake.

WAR Reckless Cerrone

However I'm pretty

I think miller works him over and grinds out a solid ud or late sub.....lost confidence in cerrone ever "showing up" for big fights after he did NOTHING against rda/diaz/pettis

I'm sure its gonna be bloody and fotn....

I'm going with Cerrone by TKO because Miller's standup hasn't looked so hot lately, but Jim's BJJ is always dangerous and he can lock in a choke at any time.
