Haven't heard any updates on that fight... rumors were that they were gonna put it on 178. Only way to save that card IMO... Johnson vs Cariaso headlining lol wtf :icon_lol:

It's alright... There was so much hype for the Jones fight... my interest level is running low now. Injuries killin the sport fast

Aldo mendes getting postponed pissed me off, but jones getting 'injured' made me fucking flip. Last time I ever look forward to a fight till both fighters are in the cage. These called off fights are the worst thing about this sport and its a big reason why it will never truely take off

Man, you're sour.

They are goddamn professional fighters, fighting day in day out. There will always be injuries. It's not like the fight isn't gonna happen any more. You just need to have a little bit more patience.

Save the card TS? It is a stacked card already!!

Fuck that. Would you have the same attitude if you bought tix to 1 of these events? Its a fucking joke and making a lot of ppl lose interest in the sport

Cowboy/Eddie is going to be such a fucking awesome scrap. Can't wait.

Name me one other sport where an athlete doesn't pull out for an injury.

Every sport goes through it. Every single one. I'm sure some where some day a bowling legend missed a big tournament for a strained elbow or some shit. It happens.

Most people know when they buy tickets for a fighting event that here's a good chance there will be some changes, or fighters pulled of the card due to injuries.

Seems very logical to me.

Haha, you serious? It's still a very good card man.

It was amazing when jones/cormier was on and alvarez/cerrone looked like it was happening.

At this point it's not complete shit but fairly weak.

OH DEAR

Nothing you said actually counters what he said.

He just said he won't look forward to a fight until both fighters are in the cage.

That is more than fair considering even you said that injuries are going to continue to happen and for him to have patience ... which is what he is doing.

MMA is a tough sport but there are indeed very few big names and every postponed big fight does indeed hurt the sport overall.

Stupid argument you have there. Thats why team sports have much bigger interest, less cancellations. Even if this bowling legend youre on about got injured, the tournament still goes on. Ufc have had 2 ppvs cancelled in the last year alone(1 in bellator), name me another incident like this in another sport?

Between McGregor/Poirier, Cruz/Mizugaki, Kennedy/Romero and Green/Masvidal this card is still pretty decent. If they added Cowboy/Alvarez it would definitely save it.

yes i would because im a rational human being that understands that sometimes things happen outside of any organizations control. yeah ofc the ufc wanted jones to get hurt and cost them a bunch of money in ppv buys that makes perfect sense ... oh wait thats just dumb . its a full contact sport injuries happen get use to it or go watch pro poker those guys can play no matter what.

right because other sports are 1 on 1 affairs were you depend on both participants to be completely healthy one day out of 120. hell other sports get cancelled for inclement weather im fine with a guy taking a couple months for a torn acl.
