Cerrone having 15 wins by submission has to be one of the most overlooked facts out there. Many just focus on his recent KOs. He's been interviewed before about it. Said he knew that being a kickboxer people would be able to take him down so he spent majority of his early mma training on ground game so he'd be ready when it happened.




Smart back then.




He's a great well-rounded. Great TD that he kept pushing for and got. He's got under-rated submission skills for sure.
 
Cerrone has some of the most exciting jj in mma...he just turns the corner so quickly and hits the sub...much like Pettis. The exact opposite of Pendred.
