Second generation immigrant who went on to represent the United States in one of the hardest sports to excell at.....and won Olympic GOLD!

Lost (got destroyed) by the p4p best fighter in the world, didn't quit and kept improving, and came back to shock the world and win the belt against the p4p best fighter in the world.

    War Cejudo!

WME will fuck this up though

Given the current political climate about immigration this should be a no brainer. He represents everything great about giving immigrants opportunities and what makes the United States great.

    And New!!!!...........

    His striking was very impressive.

He may be one of the best wrestler / striker's ever quite honestly. Certainly on the road to it..

The UFC has zero capability of promoting and/or marketing anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who doesn't already self-promote/market better than the UFC's team can.

I don’t know I think the ufc is really looking to break into that Mexican market which is huge (for reference look at Mikey Garcia sellout just recently and canelo Álvarez star power). If Cejudo manages to beat MM again I think they would try to promote him more (I think they honestly thought MM would derail him again) I mean look at their efforts with Cain Velasquez and yair (before release). The future his bright for him if he manages to beat MM again. I don’t think anyone else poses a threat to him (also though the Benavidez fight was a draw))

I don't think he will become a huge star because his weightclass is looked down upon in mma and he's still a decision machine.
The decision machine part didn't hurt St.Pierre though so maybe there's hope there.

They kind of already had it with Pettis.

Cejudo is about as white as a Mexican can get though.

I agree IMO they should get Conor to retire give him a share and let him promote.

Cejudo is awesome always liked him was shocked he had improved so much.

IDK how well Conor does when it comes to promoting or marketing other fighters. Even during his own fights, all he does is trash his opponents and make it sound like he's fighting a nobody. Conor promotes himself better than anyone else, but I wouldn't be so quick to give him everything he wants while all you get is a hope that he will be able to properly promote others from behind the scenes.

What I'm really shocked about is how well Johnson is taking rhis.....i mean REALLY stunned.I thought the decision was a bad one and was considered one of the top pound for pound fighters in world with his 10-11 title defenses.Hes there clapping after split, I mean class to a fault in this one.....and nothing since.

Just for record, I had no rooting interest for either---- in fact, I'd thought it'd be nice to have a new champion at weight class but it's my personal opinion that Johnson s title should not have been taken from him after watching fight twice.

    Lol he ain’t new.

Already blamin wme. He’s been on tuf. He has been well promoted

Unless Henry starts popping off impressive performances, this is what we got. He’s not going to become more charismatic

His main problem is he repeats himself a lot in interviews and refers to himself in the 3rd person, which comes off as phony. Needs to work on being more organic when talking to people/interviewers.

    This 100%

The UFC couldn't make a star out of Stipe, Fireman, son of immigrants, longest string of Heavy title defences, load of KOs. But nothing. seems unless you talk shit like Conor they just have no interest.
