gave the fight to hendo

apart from the fight being shit etc etc etc

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE MMA REFFING A PROFESSION AND NOT SOME MC DOJO AMATEURS CHOSEN BY AMATEUR COMISSIONS, THEY ARE TOO DAMN IMPORTANT FOR BEING THIS DUMB

kthx

It's gotten to the point where there is no way Cecil Peoples is not aware of his reputation and scores fights just to fuck with people now. To be fair though, I didn't mind the split decision. I would have even accepted a draw considering how much of a non-fight it was.

Hah I was rooting for a bad decision in that one.

Thanks for trying Cecil.

Ok captain capslock.
The guy who gave the fight to hendo gave the fight to hendo, because the strikes were not dominated by lyoto and cuz hendo had octagon control and was aggressive
now gtfo

Cecil, trying to keep the legend of "Decision" Dan Henderson alive.

I love that, it is a great point to argue with the people that thought Hendo won. The Cecil People's minded.

Maybe if Machida came to fight it wouldn't have been a split decision. Terrible fight by both fighters btw?

Cecil gets it right once in a blue moon...this was that time.

I had Dan winning. I dont give fighters points for literally running away an entire fight.

Hendo did have octagon control the entire fight............. personally I scored it a draw.

isn't cecil peoples one of the judges who scored machida-shogun 1 for machida?

Like really ? Why does this man still has his job for crying out loud. It's absolutly insane to let this joker judge, ref or anywhere near a MMA fight.

Oh the classic octagon "control" or "aggression" argument. It's a stupid criteria imo. Was Dan really in control if he was getting countered when he came in? If Machida wanted him to come forward and he did, doesn't that put Machida in control?

Not a great fight by any means, but Dan did not win.

There was only one clear loser in this fight and that is every one of the fans.

Machida ran away from Hendo only to do a minimal amount to take his rounds. Dan won one round due to takedown and doing some minimal G&P.

I mean, Machida won because he did barely enough to do so. He didn't manage to hurt Dan or put him in any bad positions in the fight. Dan had the best position of the fight, but again, did nothing with it.

Like the gnp at the end of rd 1 or the body kick that dropped Hendo in rd 2?

An argument could be made for either fighter winning, people acting like Machida dominated the fight by "controlling the action" are being ridiculous. Kalib Starnes backpedaled against Quarry for 3 rounds too, do you consider that "controlling the action" in the sense that it should be awarded? That being said, I hate the way Machida fights but still feel he squeaked out the D by a slim margin.

I'm also really tired of people who are equating anyone who thought the fight was sh*t to the "just bleed crowd" or any sort of MMA fan inferiority. I've said it before and stand by it; if you replaced Hendo/Machida with two undercard fighters doing the exact same thing, not one person would be saying it was a good fight... they'd be calling for two more pink slips.
