Casual ufc fan just annoyed me

So i step out of my shop to get a breath of fresh air and im watching fight pass on my phone.

This guy walks up to me and goes " you watching ufc"

I say yea just some old fights.

He says " cool. I stopped watching ufc after brock lesnar retired"

I go "oh whys that???"

He goes "Brock was a beast. No one could stop him"

I go "he got subbed by mir. And did you happen to see his last 2 fights??"

This guy goes "yea but those dont count because he didnt want to be there"

At this point i hit pause on robbie lawler vs rory 2 and drop the info that "brock had diverticulitis and he took a punch like a 10 year old girl"

He goes "man that aint true" he goes " brocks wrestling and you gotta be able to take a punch in that".......

I laughed out loud and just said "yuh huh"

Have a nice day bro.

Moral of this story. Dont watch fight pass in public unless you want to be annoyed by clueless casuals.

Even worse than that is when people who should know better say stupid shit. All the guys at my gym literally laughed in my face for even daring to think Nate stood a chance versus McGregor. I just shrugged and said "That's my pick, I think Nate straight up beats his ass." They laughed at me.

I haven't been back since. I love that place but I just don't gel with most MMA fans in person. Last time I tried watching a PPV with a big group was Anderson vs. Diaz. Before the fight started they were all talking shit to me saying Diaz would be Lebened in the first minute and a half TOPS. Then the fight starts and everyone was cussing at Nick for taunting Anderson and got all pissed at me for pointing out that Anderson taunted loads of people and it wasn't like he was some saint who deserved infinite respect or something.

And then the guy tests positive for roids and we all know where he's gone in his career since... So HA!
