Matthews has a bright future, great performance from a young prospect like that.
 
Yeah, really glad Matthews got the choke. He only missed the first choke because Case grabbed the cage. Great fight.
 
Fast, strong, good hands. Didn't know him before tonight, will remember next time.
 
That was great. A lot of will showed by Case after the nasty body shots and escaping the first RNC attempt. And obviously, awesome performance all around by Matthews.
 
Both of these guys would beat Conor.

Matthews will at some stage of his career hold a UFC belt. Mark my words!
 
It was a quality fight, no doubt, with some tremendous technique, and endless give and take, but am I the only one who had trouble caring about the outcome due to the fighters looking like the two most generic fighters on the roster, aside from Case's stupid back tattoo?

Am I the only one who thinks the ref should declare a TKO or technical submission if a guy grabs the cage to save himself from a submission?

I was thinking the ref should of taken a point away. That would have guaranteed the win if it went to a judges decision.

It's not just looks, really, if one of them was a decorated boxer or had an unorthodox stance or something, it'd pique my interest more. Jones was using all sorts of unorthodox technique early on, big suplexes, risky spinning moves and such. Both of those guys, as skilled and athletic(but not explosive) as they are, aren't exactly like debut Jones.
