Media Carlos Prates: The pack-a-day smoking while drinking during his camps mfker... #realtalk?

100% how I understand it, but makes everything seem ridiculous in how sensitive shit be if that is the case... Like where is the line, could I flinch in my sleep or quiver having a piss and give myself CTE or some shit, might as well hard spar if you have an addiction to rollercoasters lol.

for me, i just look at it like you just gotta live your life and hope for the best. getting CTE is no way to live, but neither is being afraid of doing anything in fear of getting it. besides, it seems like it's just relegated mostly to athletes. i doubt your average person is accumulating all the trauma from the thousands upon thousands of collisions that athletes do.

what's harder to accept though is that, as we speak, children are playing these sports. it's one thing to be a grown ass adult knowing full well what maybe in store for you later on in life and accepting it, and it's a whole other thing to be a naive little kid taking life altering shots that you won't even realize is affecting you until it's too late.

it makes sense because from what i understand it isn't so much as the direct hits to the head that cause concussions and brain trauma, it's that the hits to the head cause your brain to rattle around in your skull and THAT is the part that gives you brain trauma. so while hits to the head will certainly rattle your brain, so can just getting hit really hard in the body or sudden changes in direction at high speeds, like rollercoasters.

I think hard and constant sparring is ESPECIALLY damaging. There is a reason why almost every fighter from Kronk Gym winds up with dementia in their fifties.

Yeah completely agree.. I suppose super young kids have pretty high recovery though, like I have a relative who fell out an 8 story window when he was 2 and was absolutely fine, wouldn't have been if the blind hadn't cushioned his fall, but still.

Tattoo breakdown = "everybody has them these days, so I just follow the trend"

I know a guy who just tattooed a huuuge 1988 on his abs.
His birth year.
I will ask him about his tattoo breakdown.

You can OD on smoked heroin too. Or maybe years of hard living caught up to him and he had a heart attack.

The scarring may have been from an injection he had gotten at the hospital the month before. Allegedly he was bitching that he'd been given a needle for weeks afterwards.

You also have to remember that Liston was affiliated with NYC area mob families like the Lucchese. Vegas was Chicago Outfit territory and they wouldnt have cared about him one way or another.
the chicago outfit (and mob families east of the mississippi like the Kansas City mob) didn't get control of vegas until 1977 when Atlantic City finally legalized gambling. The mob struck a deal that the East Coast mob (5 families, philly, New England) would get AC and the chicago and the others would get vegas with the exception of a few casinos that the Genovese kept like the flamingo. before 1977 the 5 families were all over vegas. like charlie moose represented the colombos in Vegas in the 70s.

What kind of smoker keeps an empty pack in his pocket? This youtuber needs to talk slower. I'm having trouble keeping up with him.

Shut up dude.
What a fucking idiot.
Imagine being so much of an idiot that the only kind of response your small brain can come up with in response to my post is so immature and childish. How do you function with so few brain cells?

Jones partied his ass off and still won, there's been others so I guess it's not as bad if you handle it correctly.

From what I recall, Sakuraba was a pretty heavy smoker and was even smoking one before his 90 minute match with Royce

It's a mystery, really
