Been a Condit fan since the WEC days but even I can't deny that Rory is a top contender at 170. In the first fight Rory was on track to defeating Condit until Carlos was able to get the stoppage with just seconds remaining. Not gonna lie I want Condit to win. However I don't want a decision victory.. It would be like the Diaz- Condit fight and Diaz fans still won't shut up about that fight. When Rory fought BJ it seemed to me he is getting so big that when he cut weight it might have slightly affected his performance.. Joe Rogan says Rory gets up to 200lbs and cuts down.. But we all know that Rogan likes to exaggerate. Could the weight cut drain him if he puts on too much muscle for the rematch? Who wins this fight? By KO or decision?

Rory by 29-28 decision. Wins the first two rounds close, loses the third close when he somewhat gasses. Condit doesn't get the stoppage this time and Rory pulls out the decision.

Although to be honest literally anything could happen and its in no way an easy fight to call. I think Rory has made more improvement since the last fight and that should be the difference.

    Condit via KO.

But Rory might pointfight again and survive to a decision.

I think Rory is going to beat Condit worse than GSP did. Rory is much better now, and the first fight was close until the end. Is Condit much better now? I'm not sure he is.

Rory via ud. He would've won the fight if he could have survived the 3rd. Rory has improved more than Carlos.

I like both guys and given the magnitude of the fight I think Rory will just copy GSP's gameplan and basically take Condit down and grind out a decision.

Don't really care for him...but gotta go with Rory. Even though he beat a declining BJ, I was very impressed that he dominated him the way he did. I'll be hoping Condit pulls it out though...either way, should be a great fight!

Doubt it.. he would get a draw at its best with a 10-8 last round.

I think Condit would get a decision, but if Rory gasses again in the end, he's getting finished.

Of course he can. After watching Condit in the first fight with Rory and the GSP fight (as well as his entire career) it should be apparent that there is no quit in the guy. Every time GSP took him down, he was still trying to isolate limbs or sweep or do something to win, or put himself in a position to win the fight. Condit is an animal and can beat any welterweight on any given night.

Rory hasn't really been tested on the ground and may not possess GSPs superb ground top defense. If it goes there, I can see Condit winning by sub. He has a very active guard.

Big fan of both fighters and Rory has improved dramatically since their first fight but I honestly still see Condit taking it. Carlos doesn't get nearly the praise he deserves and I still regard him as the number 2 welterweight in the world eclipsed only by GSP. Rory will put some ridiculous pressure on Condit the entire fight and Condit is going to catch him with something.

Great fighters and great fight. I'm leaning towards Rory because he seems ultra-motivated (almost disturbingly so) to avenge what he referred to as "humiliation" at Condit's hands in the first fight. That doesn't mean that Condit doesn't have the ability to make it "humiliation x2", and I sure as hell wouldn't put money on this toss-up.

The bottom line is that I'm really looking forward to this fight.

Taking Condit. Off his back he is great and I think he has the edge in stand up as well.
I thought the first fight was much closer than is often said. I agree more with the play by play from this site: http://www.lowkickmma.com/UFC/UFC-115-preview-Condit-vs-Macdonald-8211 (Even though the last line of the play by play is contradicting)

Had Condit taking a very close 1st round...so even if it wasn't stopped he should have won.

2nd fight is gonna be a war, looking forward to it. They both have improved, but I'm going Condit...2nd round tko.

My heart says Condit, my mind says RoryMac. However, I don't think that Rory will be able to repeat GSP's gameplan: his takedowns aren't as fluid, and his stand-up is not better than Condit's. Condit by TKO.

Lastly, this is the turning point fight for Rory. If he wins, he's Top 10, for beating arguably the #2 guy in the world. If he loses, then it can be said that he's good at beating strikers (Che Mills), lightweights (BJ, Nate), and guys no longer in UFC (Guymon).
